Rockstar says the American Dream is still out of reach for many people, and GTA 6 will explore that idea through Vice City.

Rockstar’s senior vice president of narrative, who discussed the theme with Love Magazine, explained how the series’ view of the American Dream has changed over time.

“With GTA 4 we told an immigrant’s story that was supposed to be a kind of hollow commentary on the illusion of America as a land of opportunity,” he said that GTA 5 doubled down on that cynicism.
