@MZHemingway I really don't understand people defending a person who has over ninety charges both criminal and civil. That's not political, he's a criminal
RSN has been providing housing to justice involved participants since 2008. We had many challenging situations to deal with but, none erupted into excessive violence. RSN has bilingual staff that speak French, Spanish / English, in order to provide culturally competent services.
As the founder of RSN in 1997. The purpose of RSN; integrate quality social service providers, community based organizations, and health care professionals in the substance abuse field to serve clients who want to reclaim their lives and stay sober from drugs and alcohol abuse.
In 2007 RSN started it's sober living housing program. We are proud that our model is being replicated with additional services added on the promote recovery.
RSN was the first agency to utilize SRO hotels to house people returning to the community from Jail, prison & treatment!
@Richard51937784 I was lost for many years in the hustle and the courts gave me an alternative choice, do 75 years in prison, or go into a long term residential treatment program.
I went into Walden House in 1991 and 31 years later I am still 100% clean and sober. Recovery works!!
For the last 31 years I have focused on abstinence and I have respect for @Richard51937784, @PD_4_Life , and @SteveAdami for their tireless efforts to promote recovery. The powers that be need to hear their message and support them in their efforts to stop the madness.
@SFReentryCenter@SFAPD Thank you for the recognition. RSN has been located at 3012 16th St since 1997. The satellite location on Scherwin St permanently closed many years ago. WE are here in the Mission District
and ready to serve.
@SteveAdami You are a true warrior for abstinence, recovery and reentry. RSN has been on the battlefield since 1997 housing people who could not get housing because of their criminal histories. "Helping those who want to help themselves". Bottom line they have to want it!
@HillaryRonen The cry for help has been coming from all of us in the recovery field but every department closed their eyes and ears. Harm reduction is impossible for addicts. Addiction is a disease and there is no such thing as a safe injection site!! Recovery is the key!!
In 1991, I started the recovery process yet again, after many failed attempts. I was arrested and was facing 75 years in prison and the judge gave me an alternative to either finish a very long term residential program or go to prison. 31 years later still clean & sober!!
