As someone with a military background, I have seen how jointness, advanced technology, and engineering capability strengthen national security. The Air Force’s role extends beyond air operations and surveillance; it also contributes to aerospace innovation, mobility, disaster response, and the nation's partnership in space endeavors.

This year, the occasion holds special significance for us at @BondadaOnline as Bondada Dynamics Pvt Ltd has acquired a 75% ownership interest in KCS Engineering Solutions, a defence and aerospace technology-focused engineering company. As part of the transaction, KCS Engineering Solutions is proposed to be converted into a private limited company named BKCS Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which will operate as a subsidiary of Bondada Dynamics and become part of our #BondadaGroup's journey.

This step reflects our commitment to strengthening Bharat’s defence and aerospace technology ecosystem through engineering, innovation, and strategic capability building.

We honour the Indian Air Force for its service to the nation and reaffirm our respect for all those working to advance Bharat’s technological and strategic strength.

Engineering has been an important part of my professional journey. During my 35 years in uniform, I spent about a third on naval ships and in the Navy’s repair yards, leading complex ship operations and maintenance projects.

My experience in Marine Engineering taught me that engineering is more than technology. It is about responsibility, resilience, teamwork, precision, and sound decision-making under challenging conditions.

The experience I gained over all these years comes in handy as I discharge my duties as the Chief Executive Officer of @BondadaOnline

On Engineers’ Day, we remember and pay tribute to Bharat Ratna Shri M. Visvesvaraya and his immense contribution to engineering and nation-building.

Infrastructure is defined not just by envisioning a project, but by executing it perfectly.

Bharat's railway modernisation demands more than engineering expertise. It demands disciplined execution across complex geographies, multiple stakeholders, and critical operating environments.

At #BondadaGroup, we are developing the advance to the National Mission by deploying the Kavach, Bharat's indigenous Automatic Train Protection system, alongside 4G LTE-R infrastructure across the High-Density Network of South Central Railway.

The project includes 496 Kavach infrastructure sites under execution, along with approximately 1,681 km of OFC and telecom infrastructure across key railway corridors.

With a project value of ₹228.17 Cr, this is more than a large-scale infrastructure assignment. It strengthens railway safety, communication, operational efficiency, and the digital backbone of Bharat's rail network.

Projects of this scale test an organisation's ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver consistently.

For us, every tower erected, every kilometre of optical fibre deployed, and every system commissioned represents a commitment to quality, reliability, and execution excellence.

VRFB is a future-ready technology that will help Bharat scale renewable energy with confidence.

As our nation accelerates its clean energy transition, the conversation must move beyond generation capacity alone. The real challenge is managing the intermittency of renewable power, storing energy efficiently when the sun shines and delivering it reliably when the grid needs it most.

Conventional lithium-ion batteries have enabled significant progress, but when it comes to Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES), factors such as energy scaling costs and limited cycle life present challenges for large-scale deployment.

This is where Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) technology has the potential to redefine the energy landscape.

Unlike conventional batteries that store energy within solid electrodes, VRFB systems store energy in liquid electrolytes. This architecture offers long-duration storage, enhanced operational safety, minimal performance degradation, lower lifecycle costs, and an operational life measured in decades rather than years.

More importantly, VRFB represents an opportunity to strengthen Bharat's self-reliance and strategic autonomy in the energy sector.

As renewable energy penetration increases, grid-scale storage will become indispensable for renewable integration, peak demand management, grid stability, and reliable long-duration backup. The future of clean energy will depend not only on how much power we generate, but on how intelligently we store and dispatch it.

For me, this is not simply about adopting another technology.

It is about building indigenous capabilities that strengthen our energy security and position Bharat as a leader in next-generation infrastructure.

The award of the nation's first and largest utility-scale VRFB Long Duration Energy Storage project at Khavda by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPCREL) to us is an important milestone not only in our journey, but in Bharat's journey towards grid resilience, technological self-reliance, and strategic autonomy. It is a meaningful step towards realising the vision of #AtmanirbharBharat

As we move forward, this is the right time to invest in advanced technologies, strengthen domestic capabilities, and build an energy ecosystem that is reliable, resilient, and future-ready.

The focus is shifting from assembling imported components to building indigenous technologies that strengthen the entire electric mobility value chain. This is not simply about manufacturing in Bharat; it is about engineering in Bharat.
