ஒரு நீண்ட காத்திருப்பின் கடைசி இரவு.

வீட்டைக் காலி செய்த பிறகும் சில நாட்களுக்கு அந்தச் சாவியை நம்மிடம் வைத்திருப்போம்.

அந்த வீட்டில் இனி நம்முடைய பொருட்கள் எதுவும் இ��ுக்காது. ஆனாலும் பழக்கத்தில் கை பாக்கெட்டுக்குள் போகும்.

கடந்த சில வருடங்களாக என் மனதிலும் அப்படி ஒரு சாவி இருந்தது.

��ிறக்க முடியாத ஒரு கதவின் சாவி.

தூங்கும்போதும் இருந்தது.
சாப்பிடும்போதும் இருந்தது.
வேறு சந்தோஷங்களின் நடுவிலும் இருந்தது.

சில சமயம் அது இருப்பதையே மறந்துவிட்டேன் என்று நினைப்பேன்.

ஆனால் வாழ்க்கை கொஞ்சம் அமைதியாகும் ஒவ்வொரு முறையும், பாக்கெட்டுக்குள் இருந்து அதன் சத்தம் கேட்கும்.

இன்னும் முடியவில்லை. அவ்வளவுதான்.

முடிக்கப்படாத ஒன்று நம்மிடம் தினமும் பேச வேண்டியதில்ல���.
அது பேசாமல் இருப்பதே போதும்.

நம்முடைய எல்லா சந்தோஷங்களுக்கும் பின்னால் ஒரு காலியான நாற்காலியைப் போட்டு வைத்துவிடும்.

நாம் சிரிப்போம். அது அங்கேயே இருக்கும்.
வேறு வெற்றிகளைக் கொண்டாடுவோம்.
அப்போதும் அது அங்கேயே இருக்கும்.

உலகம் நம்மை பல மைல்கள் முன்னால் அழைத்துச் சென்றிருக்கும். ஆனால் நமக்குள் மட்டும் ஒரு மனிதன் தொடங்கிய இடத்திலேயே நின்று,

“இதை மட்டும் முடித்துவிட்டு வா…��
என்று காத்துக்கொண்டிருப்பான்.

அவனைத் தாண்டி நம்மால் முழுமையாக வாழ முடியாது. ஏனென்றால் சில பயணங்கள் இலக்கை அடைவதற்காக ஆரம்பிப்பதில்லை நம்மிடமிருந்து இறங்கிப்போவதற்காக ஆரம்பிக்கின்றன.

இன்று #OnceMore திரையரங்குகளுக்கு வருகிறது.

இதை எழுதும்போது hit, flop என்ற இரண்டு வார்த்தைகளும் எனக்கு மிகவும் தொலைவில் கேட்கின்றன.
நாளை அவை முக்கியமாக இருக்கலாம்.

இன்று இல்லை.

இன்று நான் நிற்பது ���ரு முடிவின் அருகில்.

பல வருடங்களாக இறுக்கமாகப் பிடித்திருந்த ஒன்றை விட்ட பிறகும், உள்ளங்கை மட்டும் இன்னும் அதே வடிவத்தில் மூடியிருப்பதுபோல் இருக்கிறது.

சில பாரங்கள் இறங்கியதை உடல் உடனே நம்புவதில்லை. நிம்மதி வருவதற்கு முன்பு ஒரு வெறுமை வருகிறது.

இத்தனை நாளும் இதைச் சுமந்த நான்,

இனி எதைச் சுமப்பேன்?

அந்தக் கேள்வியின் அருகில்தான் இப்போது உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறேன். இந்தப் பய��த்தில் எத்தனை இரவுகள் என்ன��டமிருந்து போயின என்று தெரியாது.

எத்தனை முறை “எல்லாம் சரியாகிவிடும்” என்று எனக்கே தெரியாமல் மற்றவர்களிடம் சொல்லியிருக்கிறேன் என்றும் தெரியாது.

ஆனால் ஒன்று தெரியும்.

நான் தொடங்கிய இடத்தில் இருந்த மனிதனும், இன்று இங்கே நிற்கும் மனிதனும் ஒரே ஆள் இல்லை.

இந்தப் படம் திரைக்கு வருவதற்குள், அதோடு சேர்ந்து என்னுடைய சில வருடங்களும் தயாராகியிருக்கின்றன.

அவற்றையும் இன்று release செய்கிறேன்.

நான் இழந்த தூக்கங்களை.
யாரிடமும் சொல்லாத பயங்களை.
தனியாக விழுங்கிய அவமானங்களை.

நடக்கும் என்று தெரியாமலேயே நம்பிக்கொண்டிருந்த முட்டாள்தனத்தை.

“இன்னும் கொஞ்சம்” என்று சொல்லிச் சொல்லி என்னிடமிருந்து நானே கடன் வாங்கிய நாட்களை எல்லாவற்றையும்.

இன்று theatre கதவு திறக்கும்போது ஒரு படம் மட்டும் உள்ளே போகவில்லை.

இத்தனை வருடங்களாக வீடு திரும்பாமல் இருந்த என்னுடைய ஒரு பகுதியும் அதற்குள் போகிறது.

அதனால்தான் இன்று சத்தமாக அழ வேண்டும் போலிருக்கிறது.

துக்கம் இல்லை. மகிழ்ச்சி மட்டும் என்றும் சொல்ல முடியவில்லை.

சில கண்ணீருக்கு பெயர் வைக்க முடியாது.

ரொம்ப நேரம் மழைய��த் தாங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்த மேகம்,
கடைசியில் உடைந்து பெய்யுமே

அவ்வளவுதான்.

நாளை இந்தப் படத்திற்கு உலகம் என்ன தீர்ப்பு எழுதினாலும் எழுதட்டும். இன்று இரவு எனக்கான தீர்ப்பை மட்டும் நான் எழுதிக்கொள்கிறேன்.

நீ விட்டுவிடவில்லை.
நீ தொடங்கியதை முடித்து வைத்துவிட்டாய்.

பல வருடங்களாக என் பாக்கெட்டுக்குள் சத்தமிட்ட அந்தச் சாவியை இன்று கதவிலேயே விட்டுவிட்டு வருகிறேன்.

திரும்பி வரு��தற்காக அல்ல.

இனி அந்தக் கதவு எனக்காகத் திறக்க வேண்டியதில்லை என்பதற்காக.

Just landed in Chennai after an aborted landing attempt which the Co-Pilot later explained was due to an ATC instruction to abort based on "unexpected movement on the runway."

While I've experienced other aborted landings around the world in a life filled with travel, they have always been weather-related - the pilot and/or ATC deciding that the risk is beyond tolerance due to wind shifts or rain/snow/ice.

Such "runway protocol" exceptions are signs of potential Infrastructure/ATC overload, and therefore potentially pose grave risk of systemic failure. I trust the @DGCAIndia and the @MoCA_GoI have a procedure in place to analyze every single such instance, and draw lessons to improve runway protocols.

Throughout the history of civil aviation, the takeoff and landing are the riskiest parts of any flight. Infrastructure/Administrative overload should not increase this further, especially in India where growth in civil aviation shines as one of the brightest spots in our development over the past decades.

An Indian institute filmed a professor teaching classical physics with no notes, no slides, and a green board. Almost nobody outside India watches it.

This is Classical Physics, lecture 1, taught by V. Balakrishnan at IIT Madras, published free by NPTEL, India's national open courseware programme.

Balakrishnan taught at IIT Madras for decades. Students who sat in that room describe the same thing: the whole subject held in his head, delivered in order, no paper on the podium.

Lecture 1 is the introduction. What classical mechanics claims, where the claims hold, and the exact points where they stop holding and quantum takes over.

Watch how he speaks. Complete sentences, no filler, each idea finished before the next begins. Rare in any lecture hall on any continent.

A physicist I know worked through the whole NPTEL series and rates it above the western courses he paid for.

Free on YouTube, 17 years online, low resolution, no marketing.

The teaching was never concentrated in the famous universities.
