Congratulations to Roseville Pathways Graduating Class of 2024! It's been a privilege to work with you. We're proud of your achievements. Now, get out there and keep making our world a better place! We believe in you!
Photos from our 2024 Dance Showcase. Dance Instructor, Mrs. Guest, had this to say:
I am pleased to share that we had a dance showcase! Kids showed up, did their best, worked together and filled all the seats in the audience with their favorite people. I can't ask for more.
Mrs. Marazzo's Education Pathway 1 and 2 students earned their Infant, Child, Adult First Aid and CPR certification today with Nurse Sarah. A huge thank you to Nurse Sarah for her phenomenal instruction with our Education Pathway students!
It's a beautiful day to play ball! Today, some of our student-athletes participated in a softball tournament with other alternative education sites. Roseville Pathways brought home a 13-10 win in their first game of the day with Coach Morales on the mound. 📸 Mrs. Landon
Not only does Nurse Wilder manage the health needs of our students, she also serves as a coach and mentor to many of our student athletes, organizes community donations for our students and families, and was instrumental in bringing the Head Start program to our campus.
School Nurses are special people! Happy National School Nurse Day to our very own, Nurse Wilder! You'd be hard pressed to find a school nurse more involved with their school community.
On the other side, two students got to make motivational pictures and quotes, representing the Democratic side of the Berlin Wall.
I attached pictures of both sides and a sample drawing, below!
From History Instructor Mr. Johnson:
Students were tasked with creating a Berlin Wall today. On the Soviet Union-controlled side of the wall, students had to follow very specific, often almost impossible, directions to “live” on that side of the wall.
Only one student succeeded, and the direction that got all of them except Anthony M. was, “Who is the most important person in your life? Draw them.” Only Anthony drew me, the leader of the Soviet Union after WW2 (Stalin is who I was portraying).
Who knew field trips like this would be so... eye opening HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAA... ahem... In all seriousness, our students did an amazing job yesterday and (most of them) made the most of the opportunity and dare I say actually had fun exploring and learning.
Now picture this: 18 of our very own Pathways students, armed with naught but their own curiosity and a dash of their trademark mischief, embarking on a journey to distant SF to explore over 300,000 square feet of scientific wonderland. Crazy right? IT HAPPENED! NO REALLY!
From 30 foot tall lightning rods to glowing color orbs, from fog tornadoes to wave tables, we immersed ourselves in a whirlwind of discovery. Some students even had the pleasure of dissecting (and repeatedly poking - see pictures) cow eyeballs - fresh from the orbital socket!
They had to create a :30 (EXACTLY!) PSA that warned of distracted driving. The PSA had to include the tag line, and could not reference distractions related to drugs/alcohol. I think they did a wonderful job and wanted to share their final product.
From Media Arts Instructor, Mrs. Jones:
Create Real Impact came to Pathways [recently] and presented on the dangers of distracted driving. I noticed they were doing a video PSA competition and passed this onto my advanced class who took on the challenge!
