We've just published a new issue of our Technical Notes discussing rclone, borg and ZFS:

We don't have an app.
Our API is called POSIX.
There's no web interface.
https://t.co/03c1o1Z5UV is an empty UNIX filesystem you access with SSH tools.
Not sure what this means ? Our cloud storage is NOT for you.

@GnupertTBear You can create/maintain hard links with 'cp -al', etc.
HOWEVER, we encourage you to stop using old-style "rsync snapshots" and just use our ZFS snapshots.
You can do a "dumb mirror" to us and we create and maintain the snapshots for you.
Bonus: they are immutable / read-only.
@GlibGoat Yes, that is correct - you can create outbound connections as you see fit to arbitrary ports ... you just can't listen on anything but SSH on TCP 22.
@twilio@twiliohelp Most of our programmable messaging is sending SMS to ourselves.
We are sending alerts and intra-company messages between people who know each other personally (or are machines that we own).
So why can't we bypass A2P 10DLC by proving number ownership ?
Bottom Line: I can't spam numbers that I control.
If I prove control of a number or email I should be able to send messages to it without ANY of the bullshit.
(Yes - registering a US corporation and obtaining an EIN so my home server can send an alert to MYSELF is bullshit).
While we're at it:
This challenge/response workflow applies to email: you could FINALLY add the email twiml verb.
CC'ing SMS to an email is a complicated and fragile multi-API abomination with sendgrid and there is no reason for it if I control the recipient address.
@LambrosPetrou This is live, random access storage - not nearline or archival storage.
That being said, the platform is not designed for client service. You can build a recipe to make it work that way, certainly, but that's not the design.
Email us and we will give you test IPs, logins, etc.

@timcortesi Email us to discuss discounts for quantity and term as well as very generous .edu / non-profit rates.
Also a good moment to remind folks that @debian.org and @freebsd.org team members get free lifetime accounts for any purpose they see fit.
