I have never understood why "speaking with conviction" makes a better fund when an LP is challenging your thesis. It is the opposite - the best GPs I have seen are those who are great at reflecting.

I see a lot of funds with shorter fund durations. In VC this is relatively unrealistic (even for crypto).

Realistic is a 10-15y lifetime for an early-stage fund. Don't sell sth different; otherwise, you have to get out with a msg like the one below to your LPs.
