@temi_ojo I think that authors using 'high speed' and 'broadband' are confusing words to put into statements about human rights. Having lightening fast internet is definitely a reach from what i'd consider a human right. But having dial up is a real problem for equal opportunity #comm1720
We should be subsidizing internet fees for low income families, kids do not get an equal opportunity in the 21st century without internet at home. It is going to be a lot more expensive to develop the infrastructure for rural areas, but that is necessary too. #comm1720
Perhaps environments designed JUST for learning/educational based interacting, would be the best option up to age 17-18. They can go on the regular social media sites on their own time (and they will). #comm1720
@tjoze719 Maybe a education-oriented social media site for kids, so they can use that to interact with classmates/teachers for learning--but not have some of the other features. #comm1720
@ShelbyBryant712 Me as well (before one class prior to this one)! I now think it would be useful for other classes though. It is a great tool for sharing concise thoughts. #comm1720
@raquel_marieeee Devils advocate: There are tons of creative ways to get paid from their talents. Would you buy an album before hearing the artist? #COMM1720
@ShelbyBryant712 I don't think Drake is crying in his Bugatti because his first album was put out during the pirating days before Apple Music lol. #COMM1720
