Stay informed. Stay connected. A New Great Zimbabwe Is Possible!!!
#NextGov #TheNew #PresidentialSpokesperson
IGNORE THE MISCHIEF..,I have noted with deep concern the Daily News front-page story titled, “This engineered pact is hopeless,” which appears to allege that I have dismissed the efforts of others to advance the struggle for a better Zimbabwe in a manner they consider appropriate.
Regrettably, the story is misleading, is a work of editorial fiction, and is intended to inflict injury. It is a fundamental principle of journalism that reporters should report the news, not manufacture it. When editorial standards are compromised in this way, public trust and our freedoms are put at risk.
I remain fully committed to representing the interests of the citizens of Zimbabwe and to advancing the struggle for a better country. In due course, I will be rolling out a plan aimed at achieving that goal. Any attempts to distract us from this objective will not succeed.
Thank you for your consideration of my take. A New Great Zimbabwe in our lifetime. The citizens shall govern!
STATEMENT ON PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE OF AFRICAN NATIONALS IN SOUTH AFRICA ~NELSON CHAMISA.
(For immediate release)
Date: 4 May 2026
1. As a Citizen movement, we extend appreciation and respect to the people and Government of the Republic of South Africa for the warmth, hospitality, and solidarity extended to African nationals in South Africa, who are in circumstances of need, exposure, and vulnerability.
IGNITING THE INDEPENDENCE PROMISE- ZIMBABWE @46
CAB3 is a grave assault and attack on the Independence Promise.
The Independence Promise was a promise of freedom.
A promise of one man, one vote.
A promise of dignity and sovereignty.
A promise of justice.
A promise of peace.
A promise of tolerance.
A promise of unity and oneness. A promise of success for the African citizen.
A promise of opportunity for young people.
A promise of dignity in retirement and social security.
A promise of better education, better health care and social services.
A promise of good government and good governance upon inclusive national processes and self-determination.
A promise of hope.
That is the PROMISE, and that PROMISE has been BROKEN.
We are now notorious in the negatives.
We consistently hit the lowest benchmarks and score highly in the negatives.
We are more divided than ever before.
We are more apart than ever before.
We are poorer than ever before. We are the more depressed people than ever before.
We are more oppressed people than ever before.
We are the more disappointed people than ever before.
We are more disillusioned people than ever before.
WE, THE CITIZENS, reiterate that only a political and constitutional settlement that gives birth to a citizen- and nation-centred government, anchored by credible national processes and outcomes, is the credible pathway towards the restoration of the Independence Promise—the road from the Independence Promise into true transformation.
Let this be our charge to history: that we did not inherit a broken promise and accept it, but that we rose, united in purpose, to restore it.
This is our duty. This is our moment.
Let us ride in UNITY and PURPOSE to fulfill the liberation promise, that transformation promise. ~nc

Thank you for the question. Part of what will constitute a credible alternative includes, but is not limited to:
1. A clear ideological standpoint
2. A strong institutional design and framework
3. Well-articulated alternative domestic and foreign policy thrust.
4. Solid founding documents.
5. A clear ideological and organizational pathway
6. A strong and ideologically astute social base.
7. Investment in intellectual labour and cadreship development.
8. A credible leadership collective leadership with a clear understanding of what is to be done.
9. A well thought out, well communicated and people centered program of action.
10. A well-trained, professional bureaucracy capable of implementing the movement’s agenda and sustaining governance beyond political transitions.
The task of building a credible movement demands significant investment in intellectual labour, grassroots organizing, institutional design, and a clear ideological framework anchored on a solid social base, among other things .Fellow citizens, the responsibility on our shoulders is mammoth, but it must be carried through. #NoTo2030
The unity of progressive forces remains the strongest bulwark against political intrusion and authoritarianism. It is only through collective resolve and common purpose that we can defend our democracy and advance the struggle for a democratic Zimbabwe.Together!

CHARADES, NOT HEARINGS!!What were supposed to be CITIZENS’ public hearings on the constitutional amendment bill have turned out to be a circus of choreographed, coached, and rehearsed ZANU (PF) slogans and rallies. The “outreach” has become an “in-reach” for a ZANU violent circus to reproduce their own contrived voices. This is nothing but a desperate attempt to create MANUFACTURED consent and lie that the CITIZENS support this otherwise hugely unpopular Bill.
The chaotic and shambolic outreach meetings are nothing but ZANU (PF) DCC-coerced gatherings. Citizens must reclaim their voice, power, and authority to be heard and to matter once more. Only a CONSTITUTIONAL settlement to this constitutional crisis, and a citizen government, is the only credible and bankable solution to the problems affecting Zimbabwe.
Disputed elections and national processes is the starting point to the resolution of the crisis. WE, THE CITIZENS, are the ANSWER.
Why we Reject Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3
We reject Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 because it does not strengthen our democracy, it weakens it!
We have grown up believing that every citizen must have an equal voice and that leadership must come from the will of the people. This Bill takes us in the opposite direction. It seeks to remove our right to directly elect the President and instead allows Parliament to choose on our behalf. It replaces one person, one vote with decisions made by a few.
We reject this Bill because it extends presidential and parliamentary terms from five to seven years, keeping leaders in power longer without returning to the people for a fresh mandate. No leader should benefit from changing the rules while already in office.
We reject this Bill because it avoids the referendum required by Section 328 of the Constitution. If these changes are truly in the national interest, then citizens themselves must be allowed to decide.
We reject this Bill because it concentrates more power in the hands of the President: more unelected Senators, more control over Parliament, more influence over the courts, and more control over elections. A democracy is strongest when power is shared and institutions remain independent.
We reject this Bill because it weakens the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, undermines the independence of the judiciary, and abolishes institutions that protect peace, accountability and gender equality. These institutions exist to serve the people, not those in power.
As a generation, as ordinary people, we cannot remain silent when our Constitution is being changed in ways that reduce our voice and our rights.
We, the citizens, reject this Bill in its entirety!
We demand two referendums on Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
Nothing for the citizens without the citizens!

There are two things that are not going to work, and the sooner people realise that, the better for all of us. They are:
1. Accusing Chamisa of being bribed by ZANU PF without tangible evidence to support such allegations. Such claims may occupy us on Twitter, but the ordinary person has no time for them.
2. Gaslighting the anti‑2030ists because of truly questionable political decisions they made in the past. The middle class sees in them at least a pushback against 2030 that is not coming from other quarters.
Zimbabweans are living in different bubbles, and each believes that their immediate environment is all there is to consider. That’s self‑deception, and that’s our current problem.
What we need now is leadership — not a single person — that unites these two classes, because both are opposed to ZANU PF and to its many unruly and unworthy shenanigans. Such leadership must also reach out to the disgruntled within ZANU PF, including war veterans and the army. Those are also truly opposed to the current ZANU PF. That is what will give us a breakthrough.
The idea that we must, through divisive and invective language, win debates in pubs and on social media is what has emboldened ZANU PF to continue on its ruinous path. “Throw them a bone and they’ll maul each other to death”. If we stay in that cocoon, we are guaranteed to die in our situation.
Don’t be misled by the illusion of perspective.

No successful nation on earth celebrates the purchase of 10 ambulances. In normal countries, calling 911 and an ambulance arriving within minutes is as basic as air.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
We condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the arrest of @BitiTendai and Morgan Ncube, who were lawfully holding a private meeting in Mutare.
This brazen act lays bare a regime that seeks to silence dissent while arrogating to itself the exclusive right to assemble. It is both unjust and unconstitutional that citizens are persecuted for meeting freely, while ZANU-PF members are given unchecked space to organize.
The attempt to amend the Constitution without the consent of the citizens is illegitimate and a direct assault on democratic principles.
Zimbabwe belongs to all of us!

Find a Catholic Bishop and kiss them on the cheek. If they are too shy, kiss them on the lips. This, good people, is what people who affect to lead people and speak on behalf of God must do. Straight as an arrow and as principled as a compass. Thank you Bishops for speaking with clarity, conviction and for speaking in defence of the hearth and the altars of your God.

The story of every youth today. You can rewrite this story. Let's organize to resist 2030. A Zimbabwe that works for all can only be achieved if we stop Zvigananda and Emmerson's 2030. Let's organize together https://t.co/nZY4EmhJIZ or via whatsapp https://t.co/lHqoFopn83
There are so many ZANU-PF MPs who are also saying NO to 2030. I like what Agency is saying and he knows the people are angry . I hope the next process after this,is the immediate impeachment of the sitting legitimate president
As we continue to celebrate Women’s Month, I am reminded of the fearless women who fought tirelessly and helped shape the course of our history and the African agenda. Their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire generations.
I recently had a humbling and inspiring meeting with Mama Palesa Musa, a brave participant in the Anti-Apartheid movement. As she shared her experiences during the painful days of her incarceration at the Women’s prison in Johannesburg, her story became a powerful reminder of the sacrifices many women made in the pursuit of justice and freedom.
Walking through the prison facility that once confined her, now preserved as a historic reminder, one cannot help but reflect on the strength, determination, and power of women’s voices that refused to be silenced.
Women have always been at the forefront of resistance, change, and progress. Their stories remind us that true freedom and transformation are impossible without their full participation and leadership.
As Thomas Sankara once said:
"There is no true social revolution without the liberation of women."
This month, we honor the women all over the world who fought before us, celebrate the women leading today, and salute the young girls and women shaping tomorrow.
