Deeply grateful to Peggy and Carl Sewell for their visionary $10M gift and their trust in our mission. With this transformative support, we are building a new scientific frontier at @UTMDAnderson to decode the "language" of cancer. https://t.co/Z7THMXadc1

Great paper @ZhiVenFongMD!
@SkylarNahiMD@MPorembka just reported our @UTSW_Surgery experience with robot completion CCY. https://t.co/b43ZFaqtHM
21 cases in past 3 yrs. 35 months was median interval from initial CCY to reoperation. All completed robotically, 70% same day d/c. 1 patient with major complication (IR drain for abscess). 🤖is definitely the way for these cases!

This past weekend we hosted our 3rd Annual Pancreatic Cancer Symposium @utswcancer with an amazing keynote speaker @KarynAGoodman All the talks by the interdisciplinary faculty were exceptional. Thank you to all the faculty, attendees, community physicians partners, patients, patient advocates & industry sponsors that participated. @UTSWMedCenter@UTSW_Surgery@UTSWHemeOnc
Clinically localized gastric cancer has about 40% chance of occult peritoneal metastases. Staging laparoscopy is NOT optional. Glad to have @SamWangMD@MPorembka and others on our multi-d team rapidly taking these pts to the OR for accurate staging
A meaningful moment at Advanced Cancer Therapies today as we announced the new David L. Bartlett Legacy Award. This award will honor lasting contributions to our field, with the first recipient to be named in 2027. #ACT2026
Have you ever wondered why do large (>3cm) & Mixed Type IPMNs have a higher risk of invasive neoplasia and carcinoma?
In these @JAMASurgery & @acsJACS publications led by @amudhan_kannan for our research group we attempt to decipher the biological behavior of IPMN using NGS
A substantial proportion of admitted surgical patients used a patient portal for real-time result and note viewing in the wake of the 21st Century Cures Act. https://t.co/c2whWNrhg4
Excited to share our work on in-hospital patient portal use in surgical patients. Patient portals may be an underappreciated communication tool during an admission. Patients use them! @JAMASurgery
From the #SSAT2025 Annual Meeting: The Doris and John L. Cameron Guest Oration
Dr. Herbert Zeh III of UT Southwestern delivered a powerful talk titled "Breaking Down the Tape: Using Video Review and Robotics to Advance Pancreatic Surgery."
