@nathan_he19@allanhog@ScotRail All the ScotRail stations, even those without barriers have a reader to tap in or tap out - same as the DLR stations in London that don’t have gate lines.
Hey @AskNationwide can I suggest that on your cards you maybe don’t put those raised dots directly lined up with the signature strip on the back? My signature is unrecognisable as a result of the six holes in the signature strip!
Discovery today is that @UPS can retrospectively change their tracking information. I’ve had one of two packages from @Philips go missing, today after being delayed for days, the tracking information has been changed to claim it was delivered with the first package. 🤯
@ScotRail Ah, that might be it, it’s my first ticket having renewed at the beginning of the month - same smartcard though, the last trip would have been in the old membership, so could well be that it was updating the membership entitlement as well.
Hey @ScotRail, a weird smartcard quirk. I booked one of the £17 Club 50 tickets via the website, that all worked and turned up in my account on the app, but it just wouldn’t load onto the card via the app. Popped into the station and after a long “Updating” loaded onto the card.
Dear @GoPro, Ill enter the code if you actually send me a code! Please add an option to use an Authenticator app so I’m not stuck locked out of the camera control app waiting for your SMS service to work!
@ScotRail Thanks - I knew that already. Was just a bit annoying that the app blocks me from buying a smartcard ticket even though the app can load it on. For stations like Kinghorn with no ticket machine it would be useful if the app allowed it up to 5 minutes before the train.
Hey @ScotRail - a quick bit of app feedback, just booked a ticket for an hours time in the app, the app says it can load onto a smartcard after five minutes, but it doesn’t offer a smartcard option for the ticket - I assume it’s applying the three hour limit for stations.
Have been using iMazing by @DigiDNA for years, but got switched to their new fixed number of devices pricing policy. Total pain - especially the hoops to change a phone after Apple have just replaced one of our phones under warranty and it’s referred to the sales team. 😡
@SPEnergyNetwork Can I suggest that your contractors need to check the traffic lights more frequently? We’re round to Saturday night again, and the batteries on the lights have given out. It’s not rocket science to replace the batteries before they run out is it? @FifeCouncil
Hey @SPEnergyNetwork your temporary traffic lights on the B923 in Kinghorn have been broken since Saturday night, any chance you can get someone out to fix them?
@SPEnergyNetwork Thanks - do you know when the works will be complete? They’re laying a cable between two sub stations, but after working swiftly along the road are stopped with an open trench and work suspended since last week outside our sub station.
@SPEnergyNetwork Hi, how frequently are they supposed to be checking the lights whilst they aren’t working on the site? Were fixed on Monday, but have failed again this morning just before the morning rush. 🤦🏻♂️
I’m not sure how much @Edinburgh_CC spent on getting @bppulseuk to install the useless chargers at Ingliston Park and Ride, but surely after years they could either get them working reliably, or just replace them with chargers that do.
@ScotRail Okay for my stress levels if things start getting cancelled, given it’s only an hourly service on a Sunday anyway I’m probably better off driving. Hope you get enough drivers trained up soon as the train and tram is really convenient usually.
@ScotRail How far ahead do you know your cancellations at the moment? Needing to get to Edinburgh Airport next Sunday and train would be more convenient than driving, but you’ve had a good few cancellations today on the Fife Circle.
@ScotRail Are there problems with the SmartCard sync today? My daughter has just phoned from the station as her ticket isn’t downloading onto her card when she taps in - she has a copy of the receipt for the ticket with her.
@WingsEcosse @CarolSinclair23 @ScotRail Could certainly argue that Kinross is somewhere that should be reconnected to the rail network. However I’m thinking St Andrews is maybe a more likely candidate in the near future given their crippling traffic problems and poor road connections compared to Kinross.
@WingsEcosse @CarolSinclair23 @ScotRail Yes, but that would be expensive. Leven was relatively cheap as the track bed still existed. Much as I would like to see the old Kinross line once again winding through Glen Farg, I suspect the budget needed means it’s not viable.
