What does it take to become World #1?

In Racketlon, you can’t specialise. You play four sports in one match (table tennis, badminton, squash, tennis) and you have to be good at all of them. Every day is a balancing act: which sport gets your time, your energy, your focus. (Founders, sound familiar?)

Pauline Cavé was on our investment team in Paris. She left to pursue Racketlon. Three years later, she’s world #1.

We know this mindset. We back it in our Founders every day.

[RTP Global @rtpvc]

For some of the best Founders we back, the real test is building far from home. A new country to navigate. Visa hoops to jump through. A new network to build.

For our Partner @TCuvelie, the resilience it takes is one reason to back them.

In his conversation with @TFNBreakingNews, Thomas reflects on his journey into VC, lessons learned along the way, and why he believes great founders can come from anywhere.

Operators see startups differently, and it shows when they become founders.

Nishit Garg, our Partner, Asia, shares his perspective on what years of operating experience really give a founder, how to know if a problem statement is truly worth pursuing, and the ambition driving our work with founders in India.

In Great Company 🥂
15 years in India. 70+ companies backed. One evening to say thank you properly.

In 2011 we arrived here knowing almost no one. Earlier this week, we filled a room with the founders and friends who have made every year since worth it.

Congratulations Rahul, Aayush, Kanupriya, and the entire @Tazapay team. 🔥

We first backed them in December 2020: six people in Singapore, pre-product, starting with escrow for small-ticket cross-border trade.

Today Tazapay runs at over $25 billion in annualised payment volume, with local payout rails across more than 100 markets.

We couldn't be prouder of this team! 👏

[Tazapay @tazapay]

@circle has signed an agreement to acquire Tazapay. Same product, same support, same team — with more infrastructure behind us.
Nothing changes for our customers today.

. @FirstClubIndia is building a quality-first quick commerce platform: carefully curated products, where ingredient transparency and consumer well-being come first, built for the top 20 million consumer households of India, without compromising on speed.

Behind FirstClub is @ayyappsraj, Founder and CEO. But before he was a founder, he was an accomplished leader and operator at Cleartrip, Myntra and Flipkart.

We sat down with Ayyappan to learn more about his journey from operator to founder.
He talks about the years that prepared him, the leadership exposure he says every operator should chase, the instincts he had to unlearn, and why he stopped waiting for the perfect problem statement.

His story is one of many.
The State of Operator-Led Startups 2026, our annual report with @Tracxn, looks at how Indian venture capital values this experience, with perspectives from more operator-founders who took the leap:

[RTP Global @rtpvc]

Pauline Cavé was on our investment team in Paris for three years.
Then she took a leap into a sport most people have never heard of: Racketlon.
Four racket sports in one match. Table tennis, badminton, squash, and tennis.

Three years later, she's World #1. 🏆

This year alone: Swiss Open champion, French champion in Singles and Doubles, Nordic Open champion, Berlin Open champion, and most recently, Bronze at the World Championship and Silver with Team France in the Team Championship in Rotterdam last weekend.

In her words: "To stay motivated for the long term, you have to genuinely love the daily grind." The best Founders we back say the same thing.

We know a champion mindset when we see one, and we couldn't be prouder to have backed her since day one. Go Pauline! 🔥

Verifying chip designs in simulation has become the dominant bottleneck in semiconductor development - consuming 60-70% of the total design cycle, which for complex chips stretches into years. Design complexity keeps compounding while simulator performance hasn't kept pace.

Hiveware has rebuilt the simulation engine from first principles delivering 10x speedups today, on a path to 100x, and is already working with some of the world's largest semiconductor companies.

We're proud to lead Hiveware's $24M Series A.
Congratulations Ohad, Yaniv, and the Hiveware team. 👏

[GoKwik @gokwik]

Before GoKwik, Chirag was an operator.

He'd seen what breaks inside a business. He knew the problems no one was solving. And he'd built enough conviction to go fix them himself.

That journey is now part of RTP Global x Tracxn's State of Operator-Led Startups 2026, alongside some of India's most exciting founders who made the same leap.

AI has emerged as the leading sector in which one in four operator-led startups founded in 2025 developing AI. In the second edition of ‘The State of Operator-Led Startups’ released by @rtpvc in collaboration with @Tracxn. Their findings point to a broader shift underway in India’s startup ecosystem, where experienced operators are increasingly choosing entrepreneurship to build the next generation of AI-native companies.

According to the report, 189 operator-founded technology startups were established between 2023 and 2025, tracking down the evolving cohort in a selective funding environment.

What happens when India's most experienced operators turn founders?

That's the question we set out to answer in the second edition of our report with @Tracxn: The State of Operator-Led Startups, 2026. It arrives as we mark 15 years of investing in India.

This edition tracks 189 startups founded by operators between 2023 and 2025, and finds a cohort punching well above its weight:

▪️ Making up less than 1% of new tech startups, and commanding 11% of the total funding raised in 2025

▪️ Raising seed rounds 1.7x larger than the market average

▪️ Being 16x more likely to reach Series A

▪️ Increasingly building at the frontier, with 1 in 4 startups focused on AI

The edition also brings together perspectives from our founders who have made this transition themselves. Thank you Ayyappan, Abhinav, Chirag, Rohit, Saurabh, Shivali and Sidu for sharing why they took the leap, what the early days actually felt like, and what they'd say to the operator still thinking about it.

India's next generation of founders trained inside its last one. If that's you, read this closely: https://t.co/XGBnJeVO9x

French Champion in Racketlon 🇫🇷🏆

Pauline Cavé has swept the 2026 French Championships, adding the Singles title to the Doubles and Mixed Doubles she won earlier this year in April.

World No. 1 and raising the bar with every tournament. 🔥

Proud to back a champion who brings this kind of grit, focus, and winning mindset to everything she does. Keep inspiring us, Pauline! 👏

What happens after a customer call ends?
For most revenue teams, that's where the manual work begins. Notes, CRM updates, follow-ups, forecasting.

That's the gap @anisbennaceur1 and @mwickenburg1
spotted early. They built @tryattention to be the unified system of action for Revenue teams and do all of it: send the follow-up, update the CRM, run the next play. And because Attention takes the action, it can measure what actually moved the deal forward. Today, 500+ revenue teams run on it.

Proud to be along for the ride as we lead their $30M Series B. Congratulations to the entire Attention team! 👏
