@jay_calipornia @CA_EDD I think they will put the new claims who do not qualify for reg UI benefits under review which will cause delay in receiving benefits. Why can’t they just add the extension automatically and whomever works, can just go ahead and report the earned wages on the weekly certification

@AshleyG1130 @CA_EDD PEUC only applies to the reg UI claims. PUA will have a new extension date. What will happen when the PUA claims hit the one year mark and claimants are required to file new claims. Will EDD file it under reg UI, if so, everyone is screwed since there is no wages in SBP.

@CA_EDD What I want to know is what is going to happen to my claim when the one year period is over and I’m required to file a new claim. My employer was shut down and now reduced work force, I’m still out of work. WilI I still qualify for unemployment until things are opened up again?

@PBoy818 @CA_EDD Probably because your ID was verified recently and the system automatically paid you from the weeks that your ID was in questioned. Call and someone will help you process those pending weeks. GL!

@EllieStrive @805masa @prissscyyy_xo @CA_EDD For PUA claim, an extension will be filed automatically by the system or claim rep when they are allowed to. If the balance reaches $ 0 prior to 12/27/20, an extension will be added to the PUA with BYB 12/27/20. However, end date will not be a year from the new beginning date.

@805masa @EllieStrive @prissscyyy_xo @CA_EDD You will get paid but it will start from 12/27/20, the date when the bill was signed. Also, DUA extension will be done by the system. Reps cannot help you. Just be patience and give it another week since they’re still updating their system with tax and all.

@BariiSuzuki @CA_EDD Call EDD. Seems like they sent out checks and it hasn’t been cashed yet. Request for DE731, check replacement form, sign and return to the office that handles your claim. Checks will be re-issued for those weeks if there are no issue pending with your claim

@Ambiti0usGirl @bryan12978022 @CA_EDD If identity is verified through ID me, give them a call because it sounds like the DE forms were sent out prior to the ID me verification was done. Ask the rep to send a message to the ID dept stating ID was verified through ID me. They will look into it.

The PUA extension will be filed automatically by the system, unlike those other programs where a claim rep can assist you with, and yes all extensions related to the new bill will have a beginning date of 12/27/20 or later

@Sophia67026265 @Ronnie_scott24 @CA_EDD If you verified through the ID me link that EDD sent you, you can call in and ask the rep to send an email to that dept to speed it up due to financial hardship.

@suxxxjz @DangerChristo @CA_EDD I’m not sure why it’s unknown. Try calling back and talk to someone else. Unless there is an issue on your claim preventing an extension being filed, the rep should be able to help you with the extension.

Hopefully things will resolve by itself by the end of the day or tomorrow.
