At OR Tambo, we caught up with Piet Wiersma, the 2024 Comrades Marathon winner and the man who came second at the 2026 edition; such a down-to-earth person.

A humble teacher, based in Kenya, running to inspire his family and those who look up to him.

My take away: You need something that drives you; that inner force that keeps you going and pushes you uphill.
