Generally, there’s only a couple of shocks per Oscars. That’s what makes the upset speeches so memorable, because they don’t happen all night long.

Last year it was an upset in Actress and Black Panther winning some techs.

Not one hundred percent confident in those, but to win a ballot with this many chalky favorites, you gotta go out on a few limbs.

I have 1917 for Picture/Director, simply because gravitas and momentum (won Globes, PGA, DGA, BAFTA). It never got a backlash like most frontrunners.

Parasite and Once Upon a Time are the only other feasible winners in those categories.
