২০১৬ সালে উন্মুক্ত মঞ্চে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি — গোপন ক্যামেরায় শুভেন্দু অধিকারীর ঘুষ নেওয়ার ঘটনা তুলে ধরে তাকে যেভাবে তুলোধোনা করেছিলেন তা সংযুক্ত ভিডিওতে দেখুন। উল্লেখ্য ২০১৬ সালে নারদ নিউজ-এর গোপন ক্যামেরায় (স্টিং অপারেশন) শুভেন্দু অধিকারী সহ তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের বেশ কয়েকজন নেতা-মন্ত্রীকে উৎকোচ নিতে দেখা গিয়েছিল। এর কিছুদিন পর ওই দুর্নীতিবাজ শুভেন্দু অধিকারীকেই বিজেপি নিজ দলে স্থান দেয়।

ভারতের রাজনীতিতে একটা ঐতিহাসিক সত‍্য হলো বিজেপি যখন কোনো দুর্নীতিগ্রস্ত ব্যক্তিকে টার্গেট করে হামলে পড়ে, তখন প্নিশ্চিতভাবেই ধরে নেয়া যায় যে, শীঘ্রই সেই ব্যক্তি বিজেপিতে যোগ দেবে এবং একটা সময় শীর্ষে পৌঁছে যাবে।

দশবছর পর ২০২৬ সালে এসে আজ পশ্চিমবঙ্গে বিজেপি সরকারের প্রথম মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসেবে শপথ নিয়েছেন ওই শুভেন্দু অধিকার — যার ঘুষ গ্রহণের ঘটনায় ২০১৬ সালে মোদি স্বয়ং চরম ভৎর্সনা করেছিলেন, সেই নরেন্দ্র মোদিই তাঁকে বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসেবে নিয়োগ দিয়েছেন। এবং কলকাতার ব্রিগেড প্যারেড ময়দানে শপথ গ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠানে হাজির হয়েছেন তিনি নিজে।

দ্বিচারিতার এমন জুৎসই টেক্সটবুক উদাহরণ কেবলমাত্র এই উপমহাদেশের রাজনীতিবিদরাই সেট করতে পারেন।

The members of the Choton group must remain in Bangladesh. They should not be allowed to leave the country without proper legal documentation and official approval. The Choton group, associated with Pinaki, has been linked to significant unrest in Bangladesh after 2024. There are also concerns that corruption may have taken place during their interim government period . Therefore, they should remain in Bangladesh until the appropriate authorities complete their investigations and grant formal clearance
