@ChildOfAlba@PeterStefanovi2 Yes, it’s tedious, isn’t it? No mention that it’s different in Scotland and certainly not (the horror) that Scotland does it better

@journoangst@DailyMail If trans women are the most oppressed (which I don’t believe) then who is doing the oppression? Is it all men and women? Or only women? Ed seems to think it’s women who have the problem.
@BrainsinNo@salltweets You have attempted a response that seems legitimate but all comes from your statement right at the beginning “trans women are women”. Why? Your claim doesn’t settle it. Prove it please
This is superb.
The lesson begins with the usual catechism: J.K. Rowling has “bigoted opinions”.
Then someone makes the unforgivable mistake of reading what she actually wrote.
Suddenly, certainty requires definitions. Slogans require evidence. “Everyone knows” requires rather more than everyone saying it.
Critical thinking really is murder on a fashionable consensus.
Our FOIs to Police Scotland, published today in @Sunday_Post, show almost 100 sexual crimes at swimming pools and leisure centres — including rape, sexual assault and 51 voyeurism offences.
81 female victims. 57 male perpetrators. Zero offences attributed to male staff.
11 offences involved girls under 13. More girls under 13 were among the additional victims.
Every recorded offence was at a venue with mixed-sex, village-style shared changing. Not one was recorded at a centre with single-sex facilities.
Councils cannot keep calling these spaces “safe” while girls are being filmed, and sexually assaulted in them.
Local authorities must provide single-sex changing, designated family spaces, proper risk assessments, and stop treating women’s and girls’ safety as secondary.
Changing areas have to change.

Thank you @ladymcbeth2
@Elmono404@hoffman_noa Why is the inevitable outcome that they will be abused and ostracised? Why are we not hearing more about men accepting them? Why is there not more education on male acceptance of a man in a dress?
The question should be why the UK gov is scared of letting S have another referendum. If there is no appetite for it, they will lose and SGov will be shamed.
