@GrantStinnett@Women___Exist@RichardDawkins@jordanbpeterson Psychology assesses and judges the value of patterns all the time. The tendency to look for hidden patterns is itself a behavioral pattern, and we should assess the extent of it's utility the same we would any other behavioral pattern.
@GrantStinnett@Women___Exist@RichardDawkins@jordanbpeterson From a psychological perspective there are plenty of useless patterns. Many psychological problems have their roots in patterns that once served a purpose, but no longer do. Patterns that originated from positive intent, but produce other negative results over time, etc.
@GrantStinnett@Women___Exist@RichardDawkins@jordanbpeterson If you want things to be deep badly enough, you can look deeper and deeper forever, but it's a game of diminishing returns. I think Peterson only 'seems' deep, because he goes way furter down the rabbit hole than necessary.
@GrantStinnett@Women___Exist@RichardDawkins@jordanbpeterson In his way of thinking, something is either explicitly useful, is hiding a deeper useful truth, or is useless. So throwing something out as useless prematurely equals missing out a hidden deeper useful truth. However, you could also search for something deep in something useless.
@HenkPoley@StephenFleming As I understand it, the MSR mission is going to be way more expensive and take way more time than initially proposed. Given the fact it'll have to compete with other moneypits such as the lunar program, I'm inclined to trust Elon-time more than NASA-time in this particular case.
@privacy_bee, explain please how this makes sense for a business who's purpose is protection of privacy & personal data?

@b_p1981 What also bothers me is that @Indiegogo so far has refused to take down the campaign. Even if you can't buy any perks, keeping the campaign up lends an air of legitimacy to what's at the very least a criminally negligent, if not straight up fraudulent business.
@thefxtec You know, that keyboard is pretty fucking useless if you have to wait YEARS to receive it! I've been waiting since January 2021!! ๐คฌ๐คฌ๐คฌ Completely unacceptable.
@HenkPoley On a more practical note, a virtual machine might work?
https://t.co/9whL6tXRvx also works pretty decently if performance is not a requirement. It's far from realtime in terms of speed, but it's sufficient to work out the occasional obscure CSS issue.
@FrenchGuyCookin If you're looking to create something that possibly does not exist yet, how about a blend of Lau Gan Ma chilli crisp & Szechuan peppercorn?
