“Estaba en el Parque del Este esta noche hablando con voluntarios y familias afectadas que están acampando allí. Estaba charlando con una familia cuando dos hombres se acercaron a ver qué pasaba y luego se fueron. Empecé a ayudar a la familia a mover sus cosas a la carretera, porque se mudaban a otro lugar. Los dos hombres me llamaron, me preguntaron si era periodista, a lo que dije que sí y les mostré mis pulseras. Me hicieron más preguntas, quién era, de dónde venía, qué estaba haciendo. Yo les pregunté quiénes eran, ya que para ese momento todavía no se habían presentado. Uno (el más educado) dijo que eran policía de inteligencia, me preguntó qué estaba haciendo, así que dije que estaba hablando con la familia. Me preguntaron si los conocía, dije que no. Luego me hicieron preguntas como mi edad, lo cual fue raro porque uno tenía mi pasaporte que tiene mi fecha de nacimiento. Tomaron fotos de mi pasaporte. Me preguntaron dónde vivía, dije que no quería dar esa información. Les pregunté por qué querían saber todo eso, dijeron que por seguridad y que había gente secuestrando niños, así que les pregunté si pensaban que yo estaba robando niños. Dijeron que no. Me dijeron que me preguntaban porque era periodista y que no había una prensa realmente libre. Uno era bastante educado y dijo que no querían hacerme sentir incómoda. Yo dije que ya lo habían hecho. Al final me lo devolvieron. Está bien verificar quién es alguien, comprobar que tenga una pulsera que ahora deberían tener en el parque, pero yo la tenía, y se la mostré, Entonces, ¿Por qué la necesidad de interrogarme y tomar fotos de mi pasaporte? ¿Y por qué la primera pregunta fue, eres periodista? ¿Acaso todo el que entra al parque recibe ese nivel de trato?”

@MaElviraSalazar Ya acá el tema con maria corina es que no sabemos cual es el temor que entre al país, o les quite el guiso qué tienen los intermediarios de su embajada con la mutación de dictadura de los Rodriguez donde alaban su trabajo y pareciera no ven o no escuchan lo que está pasando ahora

@MaElviraSalazar Señora Salazar el tema acá es que no sabemos a que juega su gobierno y ojo agradezco enormemente que sacaron a delincuente de Nicolas y los demás para cuando porque ustedes están en este proceso de transición es mutando a unos corruptos dictadores en lo que ha pasado estos dias

I was in Parque del Este tonight speaking to volunteers and affected families camping there. I was chatting to one family when two men came over to look what was going on then left. I started helping the family move their stuff to the road (I was carrying the cat!) as they were moving somewhere else. The two men called me over, asked me if I was a journalist, to which I said yes and showed them my wristbands. Asked more questions, who I was, where from, what I was doing. I asked who they were, as they still hadn't introduced themselves by this point. One (the politer one) said they were intelligence police, asked what I was doing, so I said speaking to the family etc. Asked if I knew them, I said no. Then asking qus like my age, which was weird as one had my passport which has my DOB. Took photos of my passport. Asked where I lived, said I didn't want to give that info. I asked why they wanted to know all this, they said for security and that people were taking children, so I asked if they thought I was taking kids. They said no. I told me they were asking me because I was a journalist and there was not a real free press. One was fairly polite and said they didn't want to make me uncomfortable. I said they already had. Eventually they gave me it back. It's ok to check who someone is, check they have a wristband which you now should have in the park - but I did, and I showed them, so why the need for questionning and taking photos of my passport? And why was the first qu, are you a journalist? Does everyone who enters the park get that level of treatment?
