Powered by the Reform Express of PM Modi Ji with a New ORD Act, New PNG Rules, New Framework Contract, Revised EPS Norms and the Samudra Manthan Mission, India’s E&P sector is gaining momentum.

Delighted to witness the DSF Bid Round IV Contract Awards & Release of Samudra Manthan Operational Guidelines today.

Energy is the fulcrum of India’s economy and the engine of Viksit Bharat under the leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji. With India set to drive about 30% of global incremental energy demand over the next two decades, and with 88% of our crude oil and about 50% of our natural gas still imported, the way forward is simple is to produce more and depend less.

Active exploration has increased to 12 % of the country's sedimentary basin area and, with the award of OALP-X and XI blocks, is expected to reach 19%. 
81% of the active exploration area has been awarded after 2014, underscoring the scale and impact of the reforms undertaken over the past decade Our target is to reach 1 million sqkm of exploration acreage by 2030.

DSF Bid Round IV was launched on 15 April 2025. It offered 55 discoveries, grouped into nine contract areas across five sedimentary basins, covering 6,133.02 sqkm. Three onland areas account for 1,120.91 square kilometres; six offshore areas cover 5,012.11 square kilometres.

Together, these 55 discoveries hold an estimated 260 million tonnes of oil equivalent of in-place volume.
9 new private sector players participated in DSF-IV which shows that reform is meaningful when it improves the terms on which companies can invest, take technical decisions and bring fields into production. 

India's domestic hydrocarbon production will receive a boost through the visionary Samudra Manthan programme, launched by PM Modi Ji, which aims to unlock offshore resources through new seismic surveys, shared drilling costs for around 60 deep- and ultra-deep-water wells, and common offshore infrastructure.

DSF-IV and Samudra Manthan are two halves of one strategy to develop what we have discovered; explore what remains beyond our reach.

महाराष्ट्र के अकोला में RPF की एक महिला अधिकारी ने चलती ट्रेन और प्लेटफॉर्म के बीच गिरने से 55 वर्षीय महिला यात्री की जान बचा ली।

खास बात यह है कि पिछले सात दिनों में उसी स्थान पर उनके द्वारा किसी यात्री को बचाने की यह दूसरी घटना है।

वर्दी सिर्फ जिम्मेदारी नहीं, बल्कि मानवता और साहस का प्रतीक भी है। ऐसी सतर्कता और तत्परता को सलाम!

It was a pleasure to interact with the students of DU’s Shri Ram College of Commerce during the valedictory session of their two-day Centenary Conclave, “Pathways to Viksit Bharat,” today.
The occasion brought back fond memories of my years at DU; as a student at Hindu College and later as a member of the teaching faculty at St Stephen’s College.

The young and inquisitive audience reminded me of Alfred North Whitehead’s words, “The task of a university is to weld together imagination and experience.”
As India is now in the midst of an unprecedented and ambitious journey through the Amrit Kaal towards becoming Viksit Bharat under the leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, the youth play a vital role in providing momentum to this juggernaut of growth, development and progress.

India’s higher education landscape has expanded remarkably, from 30 universities in 1950-51 to 1,289 universities and university-level institutions in 2023-24. This growth reflects the aspirations of our families and the nation’s investment in education. The next step is to ensure that learning translates into skills, meaningful opportunities and research that addresses society’s real needs.

At the event, we also discussed how India navigated recent supply-chain disruptions and maintained steady energy imports, reflecting the success of our energy diplomacy under PM Modi Ji’s decisive leadership. While much of the world faced energy emergencies and price shocks, Indian petrol pumps remained supplied, LPG cylinders continued reaching households, and retail fuel prices remained contained.
