Last night I crossed paths with a person
I left the party
They entered
Under the balcony out the door
Under the balcony through the door
The thought of each other disappearing we heard glass shattering
turned back
broken beer bottle from above
Missed both of us by a second
like when your sister hands you a vest in the op shop “this seems like a bitta you ruby”
you don't really see it
the zipper is tricky
but you like it enough to buy it anyway
now every time someone compliments it, tilted head, half smile, they just say
“it's very… ruby”
:)
I once made out with a guy in my room and when we stopped he stared at me really intensely and asked me what my biggest fear was. I told him about my crippling fear of raw egg whites, a single tear ran down his cheek and then he left.
The sound was remarkable
only we heard it
Trees moved like an Alien invader movie, the ufo was coming to land
only we saw it
The witch emerged from the bushes to collect her flowers
We performed an entire play
for the fallen tree
for the aliens
for the witch
for each other
Raging Feminist in the sheets, not allowed in the streets. Yeah that’s right I have covid, and I’m spending too much time on my phone, and I’m caring if people say cunt in a bad way and yes I should care about that, but like should I? really? Or am I wasting my time at this point
I had a french professor who once said if you just did something like going to the supermarket and experienced it fully without the goggles of habit and catégories you would go crazy with pure sense and joy. I think about it all the time. In a way this is all for him.
