Image of a rare Guru Rinpoche statue, shared during empowerments in 2013 in LA with Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche. Originally owned by King Trisong Deutsen’s son, it’s a near total preservation except for the khatvanga staff, which was added by Rinpoche after the original was lost in the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, who is seen as an emanation of King Trisong Deutsen himself, encouraged sharing images of this statue, emphasising that it is a liberation through seeing མཐོང་གྲོལ (thong drol).
