@Jaguar_Randy Technically it was Tenten because how the hell do you rig a complex mirror system with nobody noticing? Also, she managed to pass the valuable information along to her partner Lee which demonstrates valuable ninja skills.
@MarioEmmet For the love of God, call her Marcie... π
The one thing I hate about this show is how dehumanizing it could be to its characters. It just got... mean-spirited sometimes.
@sknerus_ All these idiots that get hit by a train because they're afraid of damaging the crossing gate arm or scratching their vehicle... π
Invariably, the both get obliterated anyway by the debris of the crash! This always happens, just drive through!!
@kyoruyeye Yes, but I REALLY appreciate the show for this kind of depiction. Bigots look at the subject of their discrimination as less than human; a "that." This ugliness shouldn't be sugarcoated. Yes, the story is told via allegory with space rock aliens, but nobody misses the point here.
@Prdxx_7@kondak321 Oh I finished that one. I got as far as the arc with the guy who manipulates Ichigo's friends & family into believing he's always been part of their inner circle before I missed a few episodes. I meant to go & catch up on them, but eventually just asked "why do I care anymore?"π€·ββοΈ
@YourboiVes@alatus_l0v Exactly right. In this way, both the OP & the pic are 2 sides of the same coin. Pretty sure the name-setter for this trope was a βLt. Mary Sueβ in a Star Trek fan fiction. This character came out of nowhere, had all the answers, & drew focus from the real stars; very contrived.
@WickerCandygore@heyarnoldshots Says you.π
Honestly, that's the *best* response you have? You sure it's some arbitrary measurement of "more natural," and not because the "different" people depicted expanded beyond simply just ethnicities?
That's a weak excuse of for bigotry, and I call bullshit.
