Everyone talks about "real-world adoption."

Very few projects actually leave the crypto echo chamber.

Today MINGO announced a partnership with the World Boxing Council MuayThai (WBC MuayThai) and the Amazing MuayThai World Festival to launch a Digital Athlete ID platform for fighters.

That's the kind of thing I pay attention to.

Not because it's guaranteed success.

Not because it's going to the moon tomorrow.

Because it's an actual attempt to solve a real-world problem with real organisations, real events, and real people.

One thing I've learned over the years is that partnerships are easy to announce.

Implementation is where the rubber meets the road.

So I'm less interested in the headline and more interested in seeing this deployed, used, and expanded.

Still, credit where it's due 🫡

This is exactly the sort of direction I'd rather see from a project than another exchange listing, influencer campaign, or recycled hype post.

Signal > Noise.

Hermes doesn't have to run on the machine it controls.

Run Hermes on a VPS so it stays online 24/7.

Then give it access to your laptop when needed:

- Remote desktop (RustDesk, Tailscale, etc.)
- Local APIs/services running on your laptop
- Shared folders/cloud storage
- MCP tools

Think of the VPS as the brain and your laptop as the workstation.

The laptop can be turned on only when local work is required. They don't need to be the same machine.

Mostly successful and not without its hassle but always worth it because we deeply care about our community and our ecosystem as a whole.

Nice to see you guys being active on this front also, and for the Cafe crew to be taking a proactive approach now too.

I ran this multiple times, and every time was a complete and hilarious failure. I should have put them all into a fail compilation.
