in 6 years working in crypto, i met 100+ millionaires
only a few were truly happy with their money
that's because they figured out one number
how much money was "enough" for them
6 steps i used to find my "enough":
i shared a tweet yesterday
then this happened:
if you don't know, @kimchi1x is a popular memecoin trader
@pumpfun's co-founder called him the first person to bridge crypto and pop culture
(not the most neutral opinion, you will understand why soon)
this is the full story:
β he signs a deal with pumpfun
β reportedly for $6M in their token
β his token hits $40M in one hour
β one wallet linked to him held 75%
β his account posts a QR code
β it leads to a new token, same name
β pumpfun's co-founder reposts it
β the new token runs to $15M
β 30 minutes later the post is gone
β the new token is down over 95%
then pumpfun disappears from his bio
his original token dropped to $12.8M
i didn't expect a sequel this soon
there is something sad behind why @kimchi1x works
he represents the get-rich-fast stereotype
his feed is only luxury: cars, watches, fancy dinners
that's unfortunately what sells
the dream of going from broke β rich with one trade
but that's exactly why people lose money
they start taking more and more risks to "make" it
most of the time with the same bad outcome
i really wish this would be different
but i'm starting to think that will never be the case
(btw nothing against him, his content is cool to watch)
i recently launched my newsletter using @beehiiv
i just realised that i need a pro plan to connect my own domain
i mean, i get that eventually you need to go pro if newsletter keeps growing
but this is something that should be free
