@CPMumbaiPolice @MTPHereToHelp Adherence to traffic rules is at its worst in Mumbai. Once upon a time we used to to be proud about citizens being disciplined in this aspect. Traffic Police also played its role and they were feared. Now it’s just the opposite. No one cares. Pedestrians are the last priority. Starting from e-scooters of various app based delivery companies to high end car drivers, no one cares. Red light is seen as green, no one stops at the invisible zebra crossing, wrong side driving, pillion rider not wearing helmet, you mention it and it’s there. You impose fines but do not collect and thousands of crores of fines are in arrears. If there is no deterrence, no one will comply. Learn from Central Railways - by collecting fines, commuters have now become cautious. As a test case, do a drive at Andheri Link Road, Oshiwara, Infinity Mall crossing, RTO signal crossing, Behrambag SV Road crossing and impose spot fines. The problem of irresponsible behaviour by supporters of Netas continue. Placards wishing them Happy Birthday blocks traffic signals. Who wants to know their birthday other than the Netas themselves or their cronies! The Oshiwara signal on New Link Road is a favourite spot since there is a lamp post in front of the signal. Oshiwara PS is hardly 200 metres from this crossing. Motorists continue to suffer. As such, the level of adherence to traffic rules are at its lowest in Mumbai. This gives another reason not to follow the rules. @MTPHereToHelp @mybmc @AndheriLOCA

The has become a menace and unless @MTPHereToHelp @CPMumbaiPolice start taking strict action and spot fine, this is not going to stop. Leave alone two wheelers, even four wheelers are flouting rules. There is absolutely no fear of the law. Traffic police personnel spend most of the time standing round the corner to catch hold of offenders who take a left turn without the signal permitting to do so. That’s the least of the offence and low hanging fruit for collecting fines.

This is how political banners are placed with impunity. And this is happening repeatedly at this busy crossing in Oshiwara (Adarsh Nagar crossing). Motorists are kept guessing when to stop and when to proceed. Time to take strict action @MTPHereToHelp @mybmc @AndheriLOCA

So heartening to see that @MTPHereToHelp has taken steps to clear the approach and landing stretch from the illegal parking. Well done. Please ensure that this is sustained and not an inaugural day action. Will be good to have traffic police posted at the New Link Road junction. The flow of traffic will increase substantially.

Good to learn from @TOIMumbai that the Mrinaltai Flyover extention is finally opening after a delay of 5 years. That’s standard delay as per BMC standard! Now please ensure that for smooth flow of traffic towards Oshiwara, the Relief Road unauthorised parkings are cleared and traffic signal at the crossing of New Link Road is recalibrated. @mybmc @MTPHereToHelp @mybmcwardKW

Making an earnest request to @mybmc and Municipal Commissioner and Administrator to spare some thoughts for residents of Andheri West between Juhu Circle and Oshiwara? Roads are dug whichever you go! The contractors are so quick in digging and obnoxiously slow in repairing!!
