@garyseconomics Great video! You could also make the moral argument that rich people should pay more taxes as they use more of our common infrastructure. A rich person is more likely to own a car travel by plane own a company that use resources paid by taxes such as roads/airports/elect.grid
@EvanEdinger What I don’t understand is with all the planning permissions you need to apply for to get anything remotely done how this happens. You would think all the checks and balances would be in place to avoid this situation…
@shaihanmalik@AlexTaylorNews I can understand that feeling! And that interaction really opened my eyes. Just a shame we didn’t try to tackle that by making their access easier rather than making EU’s harder
@trussliz The problem is the Uber rich not paying their fair share. And austerity from your party killing all the services that allow people to feel safe and be productive.
@KingLucythe1st@Breakerg It’s not, because above £100k you start loosing your tax free allowance making your effective tax rate 60% if you have one or two kids it’s even more because you also loose some of the free childcare allowance
@MartinSLewis I would normally not mind having the post delivered only 3 days a week however there’s a lot of paperwork (including government applications) that is post to be received within a certain timeframe. I can foresee this being an issue
