Angry locals in Katani took matters into their own hands on Wednesday and blocked access to feeder roads heavily damaged by trucks diverting there after irreparably damaging the main substandard tarmac road.
“Machakos County collects millions daily from the quarries but they allow these trucks use our roads, maintained by us. We even raise money to try make the roads but are destroyed immediately,” one of the angry residents said.
