Oh no the bad guy won’t be arrested or charged with any crime or suffer any consequences of any kind at all. No, there will be no follow up on the hearing, no relevant legislation passed in response to it, no changes of any kind made at all ever. But did you see that viral clip of that one senator? Due to overwhelming corruption everyone in government: elected, appointed, career own survival depends on the narrative: they are going to get away with it. Until we the people step up and start electing people ready to go in and tear things down and clean it up they will keep getting away with it by design. This is the reason the GOP only does performative accountability. They are equally corrupt and dependent on getting away with it too.

Unfortunately everyone in government: elected, appointed, career needs to perpetuate the narrative that they are immune from accountability. And unfortunately the unthinking masses allow it to continue with a shrug and an “oh well that is the way things work”. The bottom is coming and is going to be brutal.
