Okay, hear me out. Every time I pull up to a gated place—mall, office complex, hotel, whatever—the security guard whips out that little mirror on a stick to “check” under my car. And I’m just standing there thinking… what are we even doing here? They slide it under, glance for half a second, and wave me through like everything’s chill.
Meanwhile, they don’t check interior the backseat, the bags, or even ask me to pop the hood.
What exactly is that mirror supposed to catch that a two-second look *inside* the car wouldn’t? An AK? A rocket launcher? Be serious.
Listen, security is important. I’m not against checks. But this mirror ritual feels outdated, pointless, and honestly just drains time. No offence to the guards—they’re doing their job and I genuinely respect that—but the facilities seriously need to rethink this whole process.
Because if someone really wants to hide something, they’re not taping it under the car where it’ll fall off on the first pothole. They’re putting it under a seat, inside a bag—basic common sense. .No one is dumb enough to stash stuff or hazardous thing underneath the chassis. Bro, come on.
If we’re going to do security, let’s do it properly—check the interior, the bags, or at least ask a couple of basic questions. Or just drop the mirror act entirely and save everyone those 30 seconds of awkward waiting for a formality that helps nobody.
And again—zero smoke. I always greet the guards, we laugh, we banter. Respect to them.
When you're flying high, there are eyes on the ground praying for your safe journey. A simple 'landed' message can bring immense relief to loved ones waiting for you
Today's incident in Pahalgam is utterly heartbreaking. No justification can excuse such brutality. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. Those responsible must face justice #Pahalgam
