@JoeyVotto@CBoxSports Joey, what are your thoughts on extending long term contracts to top prospects early in their careers or before they make their MLB debut? Does that help mid market teams efficiency? Too risky? Does it make a difference for pitchers or position players?
@JoeyVotto Agree .. although more overall talent in a lineup makes it harder for opponents to target "lineup holes" or slumping players, therefore, it improves the chances of better performance of other players
@RedsDaily4 The largest regression in most cases was from 2023 to 2024 .. that's where the downward trend began .. it was the same hitting coach both years
@RedsFan_Brandon Seems like Reds are at a slight pitching match-up advantage with starters 3-4-5 .. and at a larger disadvantage with starters 1 - 2 with how they are currently lined up
@bryce_spalding I think there is a way to make it work and keep him stretched out at least the first two months .. if they give SP 5 days off between starts, two spot starts would be needed in April and three in May .. that may be a way of managing everyone's load and have Lowder as depth.
@El_Scorcho_ No, Sal can play 110 - 120 games at 1B or DH, 2B to cover for McLain on his days off and when McLain plays SS to give Elly a day off, that's another 30 - 40 games .. he can also move around after late inn PH specially to cover for Hayes if Geno is the DH
