🇺🇸🇮🇷 Bessent just said the Strait of Hormuz is basically getting demoted from "world's most critical chokepoint" to "random body of water" within 2 years
The plan: underground pipelines handling 50-70% of what currently moves through it, making Iran's favorite leverage play useless.
Think about what Iran loses here. Their single biggest geopolitical trump card, gone.

"I am a Sharia law survivor from Iran"
Christian refugee in McKinney, TX begs City Council not to let a 5 acre Islamic center in
His warning is worth a listen:
🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran just published its terms for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and it reads let's say, demanding.
The Supreme National Security Council, dead serious:
"Until America corrects its behavior, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened."
"Correcting behavior" turns out to be a 6-point list, including never using threatening language, ending the wars in 4 different countries permanently, paying reparations for 2 wars, and unconditionally handing back every frozen dollar.
Somewhere between "never insult our sanctities" and "return the money, no conditions," you realize this isn't really a negotiating position, but a full itemized invoice, presented as an ultimatum.
The closer really ties it together:
"The Supreme National Security Council will never back down, whether in war or in negotiations."
Funny until you remember the tankers are still stuck waiting on the punchline.

BREAKING 🔴
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in extremely critical condition and could pass away at any moment, two sources close to the Pezeshkian administration told IranWire.
🇴🇲🇮🇷 BREAKING: Iran just grabbed another ship. IRGC boarded and seized a vessel.
Meanwhile, UKMTO reports a vessel has been struck by an unknown projectile east of Khasab, Oman.
This is their go-to move when they want leverage. Last few times this happened, it escalated fast. Sanctions threats, naval posturing, hostage diplomacy.

🇨🇴 COLOMBIA INAUGURATES NEW RIGHT-WING PRESIDENT
Right-wing lawyer Abelardo de la Espriella has been sworn in as Colombia’s new president after winning June’s runoff election.
He pledged to crack down on armed groups, shrink the state by as much as 40%, restore ties with Israel, and revive Colombia’s oil and gas sector.
A close ally of President Trump, de la Espriella takes office having never previously held elected office, bringing Colombia’s first leftist government to an end.
🇮🇷🇴🇲🇺🇸 Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs just announced the details of an agreement made with Oman on the management of the Strait of Hormuz.
The plan reportedly includes the following arrangements:
1. Iran will close the Northern and Southern sea lanes.
2. A temporary shipping lane will be established in the area for 2–4 Months, and most maritime traffic will pass through Iranian waters
3. During this period, negotiations must take place on Phase 2 of the Hormuz Agreement, which includes discussions on maritime Fees
4. The full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is contingent on the U.S lifting the naval blockade and energy sanctions and unfreezing Iran’s frozen assets.
TLDR: expect the deadlock between Iran and the U.S. to go through another cycle of delays and failed agreements like it's June again.

🚨🇮🇷 A cargo ship radioed for help off Oman after being STRUCK on the Hormuz route Iran has declared off limits.
-UKMTO reports the vessel, 20 nautical miles northeast of Al-Khasab, Oman, broadcast over VHF channel 16 that it had been hit by a projectile
-The position is the southern lane hugging Oman's coast, the U.S.-backed corridor the IRGC has warned ships not to use without Iranian permission
-It follows the Guard's claim that it "struck and stopped" three tankers on that same route, and a UKMTO-confirmed strike days ago that wrecked another vessel's engine room
-Traffic through the strait has reportedly collapsed to about five ships a day, every one of them using Iran's preferred lane instead

Fuel shortages cripple Iran's ballistic missile capabilities.
🚨🇮🇷 While defense intelligence notes that Iran's long-term procurement goals from China aim to support an arsenal of up to 1300 solid-fuel ballistic missiles, the country's immediate operational capability is bottlenecked. Current estimates suggest only around 106 missiles are actively fueled and ready.
Last year a devastating explosion at the Port of Shahid Rajaee destroyed a massive 1,000-ton influx of Chinese rocket fuel precursors.

TRUMP’S IRAN TALKS CLAIM FACES GROWING PUSHBACK
Iran and Pakistan say no U.S.-Iran negotiations are scheduled, while U.S. officials reportedly also dispute President Trump’s claim that direct talks are underway. Current contacts are said to be limited to indirect mediation through Qatari and Pakistani channels.
Meanwhile, IRGC-linked accounts are mocking Trump’s remarks, posting images sarcastically claiming they show the “participants” in the agreement he referenced.
