@debs_cot@EssexPR Why have people been changing habits? Because for years governments having been taxing them too much and major breweries have been fleecing managers, the better they do the breweries take more.
@rachelstockkk@EssexPR If they reduce taxes on pubs, so more pubs don't have to close it already starts the funding. The more pubs that close the income to the government in VAT, income tax and NI etc is less and benefits go up.
Tesco has cut employment by over 5,000 in the past year. It's just one of the major retailers that have slashed jobs in response to Labour's hikes in taxes & the minimum wage.
Sainsbury's, John Lewis & B&Q have cut around 3,000 jobs each. In total Britainโs largest retailers have shed almost 18,000 jobs in the past year
High street jobs are one of the best ways for young people to get their foot on the employment ladder, but this route to a productive career is being choked off by Labour's tax obsession.
๐จ I TOLD YOU! The trap is being sprung right in front of our eyes, and the Westminster establishment is in on the game. Brussels is slapping a devastating 47 percent tariff-free cut on British steel to intentionally crush our manufacturing. But why?
Because this is their entire master plan. The EU is going to squeeze our economy until Starmer and his team can run to the cameras, throw their hands up, and tell the public: "We have no choice but to drop our red lines and rejoin the single market."
It is a coordinated economic hostage situation designed to force our surrender. We called this exact plot days ago. Do not let them gaslight you. Retweet this everywhere! ๐ฌ๐ง๐
@JeremyVineOn5@Jeremy_Hunt@theJeremyVine It isn't fair that pensioners pay the price for useless politicians who have encouraged youngsters not to work from age 15/16 as we did.
@JeremyVineOn5@Jeremy_Hunt So they want pensioners to lose the triple lock, meanwhile they are stretching the length of time between checks for those claiming benefits for anxiety so they can claim longer.
