Most people evaluate the worth of outsourced texting based on cost alone, but texting at scale is not just the cost of pressing send.
It is timing, organization, real-time conversations and people managing outreach under pressure during critical campaign moments.
Our latest piece highlights the real people behind our outsourced P2P texting through our partnership with @TCSG_GO.

Our team has been on the road at π@TheAAPC Southeast Regional & πAAPOR.
From campaign strategy conversations to polling and research discussions, it was great connecting with so many people across the political, advocacy and research space.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the RumbleUp booth π₯, met with our team and talked with us about how texting continues to support real conversations at scale. Safe to say we had no shortage of conversations or caffeine these past two weeks!
Also, shoutout to the live music that kept the energy going πΆ

The Price Per Text Trap πΈ
Cheap texting is not always cheap.
Platform pricing models, Fees for contacts, users and support access, operational inefficiencies, data gaps and quality, SMS segment management, paying for incoming replies can quietly double your real texting costs.
We broke down what teams often overlook & where texting budgets quietly disappear.

Better texting starts with better data management.
A built-in CRM helps teams segment contacts, track responses, and focus on people who can and want to receive messages.
That means stronger delivery, cleaner lists, and faster launches.

Two weeks, two East Coast stops. π
Last week, our Operations team joined @MEF in Miami for MEF Leadership Forum USA, our first event since becoming official MEF members. The sessions were sharp, the conversations were valuable and the pickleball tournament did not disappoint.
This week, we were closer to home in DC for @C_and_E's Digital Campaign Summit.
From mobile ecosystem conversations to campaign strategy, both these events provided valuable programming for learning, connection and quality time with the people shaping this industry.
Looking forward to attending many more π₯
In a world of emails, texts, calls and virtual meetings, are industry events like the Reeds and Pollies still worth attending?
Thomas Peters, our Founder and CEO, shares why in-person industry events still matter, and why real human connection still shapes this industry in meaningful ways.

Choosing a texting line is often treated as a simple setup decision, and short codes are often seen as a high-impact option at first glance.
In reality, the texting line you choose shapes how your program launches, how fast you scale and whether you can reach the same audience when timing matters.
That is where short code, 10DLC and toll-free lines start to differ.
The question is not which one is better, it is which one aligns with your strategy.

Winning campaigns are fully funding ALL relevant channels earlier and more intentionally.
That was one of the strongest themes we heard at the 2026 Pollie Awards & Conference.
We see it all the time: campaigns that view texting only as a GOTV tool miss the opportunity to turn early engagement into turnout. When texting is treated as an afterthought, strategy loses flexibility, decisions get rushed and money is wasted.
π‘ Starting outreach early is what drives attention and action.
Watch our Founder & CEO, @AmericanPapist, break it down.
Some of the strongest campaign strategy we saw last cycle came out of local races. π
These programs knew exactly how to reach the right voters at the right time.
From Castle Pines, Colorado, where 35% of voters were effectively unreachable by door knocking and texting helped close a critical field gap, driving 2,650 votes toward a 2,700-vote goal in a competitive three-way race.
To Gulf Shores, Alabama, where a first-time candidate used texting to build name recognition quickly, helping raise ~$15K from 120 donations and contributing to a 70.43% win.
To a municipal race in New Hampshire, where texting became a core voter contact channel and helped increase turnout from 13% to 29%.
And a special shoutout to our partner @RaiseWinRepeat Engine, who recognized us in contributing to their win for Vote-by-Mail targeting where strong execution and timing came together exactly when it mattered.
π All of these campaigns were recognized at the @C_and_E 2026 Reed Awards, and we broke down the work behind them β link in the comments!
Scaling short code opt-ins is not just about reach.
It is about clarity and targeting.
If people do not know what they are signing up for, they will not opt in. 3 ways to improve:
β’ Get your short code in front of the right audience
β’ Be clear about the value
β’ Use keywords to segment opt-ins
More opt-ins are good. More relevant opt-ins are better.

Most campaign texts fail because they feel like broadcast instead of a one-to-one conversation.
3 ways to fix it:
β’ Use MMS + video
β’ Share useful and hyper-relevant voter info
β’ Make it conversational & interactive

β’ Direct contact imports into existing groups
β’ New Drip Campaign trigger: Join Group
