On the incoming days, we will have the repeat pass of S1 and ALOS4 for the M7.2 and M7.5 Venezuelan EQs, and NISAR (hopefully). We must remember that the ultimate mission of seismology is not merely to study EQ, but to safeguard lives and mitigate casualties they cause.

S1 interferograms for the #Philippines M7.8 EQ happened on June 7 2026. Descending and Ascending ifgs are showing great decorrelation near the Bay. This can be improved using #NISAR L-band 12 day repeat orbit. #earthquake #insar #sentinel1 #nisar #scripps
