my three biggest gripes with the modern white hip-hop head
1) they don’t know about Raider Klan/ the South Florida sound Denzel, XXX, etc
2) they only know El-P and Killer Mike from Run The Jewels
3) they don’t know that Future is Dungeon Family
@JohnCarreyrou John did she say "you created" or "I created" and where is the recording. Alarming that this isn't the thing you're addressing first and foremost!
@M3tr0politan@Logo_Daedalus You know, you political wonks are really fucking funny to me. You will have a conversation for like an hour in the English language without actually defining any of the terms you use because you just like to witness yourself yap it's actually so crazy lol
@M3tr0politan@Logo_Daedalus This would be an apt analogy if Holmes were custodian to the mental health of millions of young Americans, but she just isn't, is she? What exactly did she harm besides the pocketbooks of gullible business investors? Zuck is actually guilty of ruining everyday individuals' lives.
Started rereading Bad Blood after seeing this doc and trying to reconcile Elizabeth Holmes’ doe-eyed, passive persona in the film and claim that she’s done nothing wrong with the unrepentant, short-tempered bully her former employees describe.
Extremely bitch-made country. Couldn't overthrow any kind of authoritarian regime if their lives quite literally depended on it. This kind of immature haughty pretense for civility is as frightening and disgusting as it is outrageous and hilarious. Big yikes from me
You clearly didn't get the joke.
See, the first guy he mentions– the guy on first base– *he* would be called 'Idano'. But he's not. Hoo you say? Yes, that's Hoo. No no, I understand you're not racist sir– the guy's *name*...
Am I alone in finding Abbott and Costello staggeringly unfunny, and this possiby their least funny routine of all? There are numerous genuinely funny riffs on this (Animaniacs etc) but the original was based on the idea that a baseball player might be called 'I Don't Know'.
Absurd and infuriatingly stupid take but the closest one I've seen to the truth. Holmes is a heckin' r word victim, as her Enron dad very clearly stated before that handsome devil stopped him from speaking his truth with his dastardly manipulation. It's all very stupid but dire
The Holmes movie is well made but deeply immoral and shouldn’t exist tbh. If you got a ticket you woulda def attended an old timey freak show, im so tired of no one having any interest or making any effort to preserve the dignity of their fellow man
Another way to think about this is that she's a rapidly aging coke addict who is riding the coattails of younger more talented artists in order to validate herself in the face of rapidly waning cultural purchase as a result of MF&F sucking bad and flopping hard
The way that Charli XCX has used this stage to celebrate a new crop of pop artists is cool. Ever since Pop2 days she’s has uplifted artists both out of enthusiasm for the music and a drive to push things forward. I like seeing her more than a decade later doing it on a big stage
Limited Hangout people pay attention– because the answer to this question is actually a resounding no if you actually think about it for a minute. Equally likely Holmes was and is unknowingly working in the interests of pharma companies who run gate-kept lab testing enterprises.
