Tough one to take. Being that close and not finishing it. Not the ending we wanted.

Proud of the way the team fought throughout the tournament. We gave it everything till the last ball. Each year Islamabad United competes for the top spots and that is because of the culture at this team. Islamabad United will always be more than just another team.

Losses are tough in general, but losses like last evening’s are especially more difficult to process. Ultimately it’s a game and only one team could win. Congratulations to HKingsmen.

A BIG thankyou to the entire #ISLUFamily for supporting the team throughout the season. Against post-auction predictions which doubted our ability, we rose to the top two, and brought the team so close to being on the final last evening.

As our PSL11 journey comes to an end, I want to wish each and every one of you success and happiness in your professional and personal pursuits ahead.

Best of luck to both teams in tomorrow’s final — may it be as thrilling and dramatic as last evenings’ match.

That’s it for @IsbUnited in this season’s PSL. I would like to thank each & every member of the team, the players, the coaches & the support staff. We finished in the top 3 again but couldn’t go all the way. Coming so close & not making it hurts but proud of the effort put in by the team to first of all get us into that position. 11 seasons, 10 playoffs, 8 top 3s, 3 trophies; that comes from trusting the process, and we will always trust the process longterm.

Most of all I would like to thank & also apologise to IU fans, we tried our best & we will try to comeback stronger.

Lastly best of luck to PZ & HK in the final. PZ have been the standout team this season & HK the best story of the season. Hopefully it is an epic final that goes down to the last ball.

Also the umpire could have taken his time if there was any doubt or confusion. But no, he was in a hurry and made the decision within seconds that there's a spike when ball was close to the bat. Like he was forced.

Same goes for commentators.

Don't want to create controversy we were poor today and they outclassed us but something about that LBW call is interesting that commentators who discuss some runouts for 2,3 overs didn't talk about it and even no journalist talked about it . And it was by no mean conclusive
