@kbrooksharper Thank you for the coverage of this important issue! The title for your article on https://t.co/kn4bVoJW7u uses the word "apocalyptic" to describe people. Respectfully, I think the word you were meaning to use may have been apoplectic?
Muhammad Ali’s said “A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life.” You may feel a lot of resistance to change initially. But think of change as an opportunity to grow, not as an unwanted burden.
The dialogue we have with ourselves and others has a huge impact on how we feel. Our words, which really are spoken thoughts have the power to limit what we can do or create new possibilities. So, watch what you say, as words have consequences.
You are in control of the way you look at life. So instead of getting angry, find the lesson. Instead of worrying, take action. In place of having doubt, have a little faith. Your perspective is always more powerful than the circumstance you are experiencing.
I don’t think teachers will be remembered primarily for their lessons. I think they will be remembered for their energy... and their attitude... and their relationships.
Lessons are important... but they don’t tell the entire story. The legacy of a teacher is more than that.
The effort you put into something is never wasted, even if it leads you to disappointing results. Your efforts make you stronger, more educated, and more experienced and that's a positive outcome for any effort.
You owe it to yourself – always, to focus on what you can do now to make things better for yourself. All you have control over is the current moment and what you say, think or do, making it the most important time to direct your life and find the best path forward for now.
Gratitude helps you realize all the good and positive things you already have in your life regardless of how insignificant they may seem. There is no way you can be grateful and negative at the same time. What are you grateful for? Create your own gratitude list.
Don't force things to happen. Give them your best shot and then let them be. If they are meant to happen then they will. Holding yourself to things you can’t control, stops you from taking action on what you can.
It isn’t easy to be patient, but any major change requires time and sometimes lots of it!. If you get frustrated, remind yourself of how things will be so much better once the change has fully manifested but don’t kid yourself into thinking big changes will happen over night,
