i think i also had this idea once where aventurine does leave the ipc to pursue religion but slides into being a weirdo mystic who's deeply unhappy and kind of angry all the time. this morphed along into being an AU where the avgins survived in greater part and aventurine didnt

the taxonomical language of psychiatry is rarely charming but i do love when they suddenly get existential with it. symptom of anxiety? IMPENDING SENSE OF DOOM. that's so accurate. symptom of borderline? CHRONIC SENSE OF EMPTINESS. yes, that's exactly what it feels like.
