If I didn't know the Earth, like if I were aa visitor from another planet, how extraordinary our planet would surely have looked. Like, what would the extraterrestrial think of a being that lives in one place, stuck to tentacles into the ground, the "plant"? Or small and large organisms, some with wings with whichto fly in the planet's atmosphere. What an incredibly strange planet!

Martin Lewis.
He was Edward Hopper’s primary influence in printmaking. He taught Hopper the technical aspects of etching. The two shared a similar taste in city scenes.
Martin Lewis died in obscurity in 1962.
