"This was filmed during a therapy dog visit at a nursing home.

Everyone else was chatting, smiling, doing the usual. She was sitting alone, barely speaking, just humming an old song under her breath like she was holding onto something.

The dog walked past the loud tables and went straight to her, putting his head in her lap and staying there like it was the only assignment that mattered.

She kept humming, but tears started falling onto his fur, her hands shaking as she stroked him like she remembered how to comfort someone.

Some American therapy dogs don't bring energy. They bring permission to feel.
