These charity runs are part of the Mercy 4 Mankind initiative by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Canada,which is inspired by the charitable example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

He has been referred to in the Holy Quran as ���Mercy for all the Worlds’ and this is reflected in his teachings and practice.
