This is why I don't subscribe to ethnic nationalism. It's a European import that we Africans in former British settler colonies have been cheated is "anti-colonial pride in our African roots." But real nationalism should be based on ideas and political work. Not on our origins in which we had no agency. We've had centuries of African political thinkers, the first constitution came from Africa. So we have a rich political heritage, but we've been duped into thinking like Europeans that the only way to politically organize is on the basis of identity. No political ideas about work, economy, justice and the environment. Ironically, that's precisely what racism is. Identity-defined politics. And colonialism has cheated us that replacing racism with ethnicity changes the principle.
No, the principle remains. And politics based on identity, rather than political consciousness, will always degenerate into hate. That's why Steve Biko talked of black CONSCIOUSNESS. It's ironic that his country is degenerating into this deadly nonsense.
Her father was an MP and a minister
When he died her mother was elected to his position
And now the daughter wants to run
Kenya’s politics are dominated by wealthy families - most of the wealth is from public resources

I love being from a small town because whenever anyone tries to shame me for not knowing something,I just say, “We aint have that in Isiolo”the potential is endless
“Hujui the Polygamist?😲”
“We aint have that in Isiolo”
*this is x2 funny bc there are many Polygamists in Isiolo
Good. They are exercising their Democratic rights. Same as the people on the streets. Or you think rights should only apply as long they are not painting govt in bad light?
Huko clock app nimeona a video where the graves of the victims of the Kiambaa Church massacre have been flattened. No crosses. No grave markers. No monument in memory of those who died, nothing. Then they put up an indoor basketball court. Gaddem!!
Please note @ckanjama@LawSocietyofKe we will be moving a motion to remove those East Africa Law Society fees from our annual PC renewal fee. There is no benefit in being in EALS if Kenyan lawyers continue to receive hostile treatment in the region and get treated as pariahs
