@RevRichardColes It doesn’t have tar in it either. Tar (a derivitive of coal) was used up to the 50’s/60’s. After that it was bitumen (a derivative of oil).

Another bus pass adventure. The usual script. Jeely piece, banana, three busses to Aviemore, up and down Cairn Gorm. An easier one today on account of my knee injury at the dancin’ on Saturday night. Everything was absolutely fine until the DJ put on ‘Tiger Feet.’

Another bus pass adventure. I’m getting to know the bus drivers on first name terms. One said to me this morning “Good morning Sandy, what Munro is it today ?” I said “Ben Chabhair, Dougal.” I smiled. He smiled back. #mountaineering #munro #bus #jam

Another bus pass tale. The usual script. Jeely piece, early bus, climb a Munro (Ben Vane), back on the bus, home for News at Nine. All for free.
It occurs to me that you see lots of strange things from a bus like the people and sights on the Great Western Road in Glasgow.

Another bus pass adventure today. Packed a jam piece and a banana. 1st of three buses at 6. Got to Arrocher at 10.30am. Climbed Beinn Ime and Beinn Narnain. Back for the bus at 4.30pm. Didn’t cost me anything. Zilch.
