Japan was once the land of the samurai. Now even the yakuza have been crushed and driven underground, leaving the country remarkably easy to open up to mass immigration.
What amazes me most is the persistence behind it.
It feels as though someone decided decades ago: “We will transform this country through immigration, even if it takes 30 years. Even if it takes 50. Even if Japan is unrecognizable by the end.”
That kind of determination is extraordinary.
So who has been pushing this for decades?
Who benefits from it?
And who is really pulling the strings?
