Last night the House voted against our motion to stop children as young as 11 being given puberty-blocking drugs.

These drugs can leave children infertile and unable to have a normal sex life for the rest of their lives.

No child can consent to this.

We are very glad to hear that Scottish Government will not appeal the magnificent victory by @forwomenscot and will now remove male prisoners from the female prison estate.

This MUST apply across the UK though. There is NO justification for this cruel and inhumane punishment being inflicted on women prisoners.

Here’s just one example.
‘Lauren’ Jeska who is currently being held at a women’s prison, Foston Hall.
Jeska, 42, admitted stabbing Ralph Knibbs in the head and neck at
Alexander Stadium in March 2016, and causing actual bodily harm to two other UK Athletics officials, Kevan Taylor and Tim Begley, who tried to intervene during the attack.
A violent man, who should be removed immediately from Foston Hall. A disgrace he was ever placed there.

🚨Important Announcement: Puberty Blockers Judicial Review🚨

Following months of radio silence, I’m saddened to report that the government has announced that it is pushing forward with the puberty blockers trial, regardless of the significant ethical concerns raised that led to the temporary pause.

Most troubling of all is that they are now refusing to halt recruitment of children until the end of the Judicial Review that we are bringing.

As such, we have no choice but to seek an emergency injunction to block a single child being recruited and given this poison. There will be a hearing at the end of July to determine this.

Please rest assured that I and the entire team will be pursuing this Judicial Review all the way.

@jamesmurray_ldn - Just as with your predecessor, Wes Streeting, we implore you to do the right thing and pull the plug on this monstrosity of a trial. If you don’t, we will see you in Court.

A transgender serial killer has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder and dismemberment of a 68-year-old woman.

Harvey Marcelin had previously been convicted of killing two other women, but was housed in a women's prison during his trial.

Parkrun got it so very wrong says ultra-runner Sophie Power. It’s one of the best health initiatives ever to come out of this country but people like to compare their scores with other people of their own age and sex - ie male and female.

Sophie describes her parkrun experiences during pregnancy, with young children and as a super-fit ultra-runner - truly inclusive.
