@chrislhayes I invite Ted to spend time in a school.Schools don’t need to be hardened, they need to be caring, welcoming, fun and full of hope. Every child needs to know they are loved and valued. A locked door will not deter an evil monster. Not having access to assault weapons could.

I wish a vaccine was available for my child and for all kids <5. It would protect kids and help parents. Unfortunately more data is still needed from clinical trials for the FDA to make a full assessment. I know a safe, effective vaccine for <5s remains a top priority for them.

@NinaStrohminger I would guess if you asked this question in a graduate class full of teachers the answer would have been more on target. Teachers and schools see wealth inequalities everyday.
