If you call it a genocide and then campaign alongside the politicians who armed, funded and enabled it, there are only three possibilities:
A) You don’t actually believe it’s a genocide.
B) You do believe it’s a genocide, but complicity in genocide isn’t a dealbreaker for you.
C) You know exactly what it is, but your public condemnation is cynical: you invoke “genocide” because it’s what your constituency wants to hear and because doing so advances your political career, while abandoning the consequences of that position when they become politically inconvenient.
You cannot treat genocide as the ultimate crime when speaking to Palestinians, then treat its enablers as respectable political partners when you need their endorsements, votes or access.
At that point, you’re making genocide an issue we can simply move past.
@DreGuevara3 Fitness is a very broad thing and a majority of people including disabled people are capable of and stand to benefit from some form of exercise. Not everyone will be able to do deadlifts, but everyone should ideally take care of their health, and have the support needed to do so.
Awesome so we understand that the simple renaming of land/water does not erase its history nor the true identity of it. Now that we’ve grasped that, let’s talk about something related to this conceptually
@EdbieLigerSmith@dannyspud_ this school had some CRAZY hazing and SA stuff that happened with the football team. It came out like 10 years ago. Not shocked a POS like this was holding a sign like that.
@B_Marsh92 I am proud to be a mutual. Your content in its entirety has been such a breath of fresh air. I became a wild fan in 2022, you have always been a steady force helping to make the game more inclusive and advanced stats more accessible for even people like me who are new to hockey.
