I am training for the New York City marathon in November '08, and I'm beginning to freak out.

Today: 10 mi, Chuck Klosterman on TAL-he sounds exactly like Comic Book Guy. Distracting. Then Starlee Kline and Phil Collins Saved My Run.

Today: 7 mi, Carpenter's Union protesting strong on Kent Ave, discarded Peeps box on Wburg bridge, gave some ooglers the finger

Also, just so everyone who knows me in real life is aware, all this running is making me a little cranky.

Does anyone know how I can find my old tweets? The old ones have disappeared, "Older" is unclickable, and "Archive" doesn't show anything.

I was a little bummed that Ryan Hall didn't place higher. But Jesus, still it took him 2:12:33. That's me at about 10 mi!

I ran 14 miles yesterday, a little over a half marathon. Ouch. New meme here: I will point out 3 things I see/learn on every run.

Running on sand is tough but it's a nice change from asphalt for a few days.

I lied. Don't feel good about recovery anymore. Uuuuuggghhhhh

Also, the 12 miles didn't kill me...I feel pretty good about recovery.

12 miles today + 12 miles from the week = 24 miles this week. It took me 2.5 hours today, though, which makes me want to work on speed.

Added folic acid, glucosamine, and flaxseed oil to my diet. We'll see how that goes.

Finished the Murakami book in less than 24 hours. It was great. Read it. More later.

I love Murakami when he writes about running, and tonight I got his whole book on it: What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. Psyched.

K so the midweek runs kill my desire for the long Saturday runs. I just feel tired and like throwing in the towel for the week already.

Feel much better today. I wonder if it was all allergies, and now that the meds are kicking in I feel better? Damn you ragweed!

I still feel weird but went on the run this morning and it was OK. We'll see how I do w/ 6 miles tomorrow.
