On this day in 1965, Toho released FRANKENSTEIN VS. BARAGON to Japanese theaters. It marked the debut of Baragon, as well as that of Frankenstein's monster in a Toho film following two previous attempts. THE WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS, a loose sequel, was released the next year.
